Dry mustard

An essential ingredient in our grandmothers’ cooking, dry mustard is used in dry marinades, to flavour baked hams, roasts and certain fish dishes.  It can be mixed with liquids to make sauces of varying degrees of heat (e.g., homemade BBQ sauce for ribs).
